GLOMIS GLObal Mangrove database and Information System
  Glomis is a project of the International Society for Mangrove Ecosystems (ISME) with financial support from the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and of the Prefectural Government of Okinawa. GLOMIS is based at Okinawa, Japan and coordinates four Regional Centres located in Brazil, Fiji, Ghana and Malaysia.

Millennium Ecosystem Assessment
  The Millennium Ecosystem Assessment assessed the consequences of ecosystem change for human well-being. From 2001 to 2005, the MA involved the work of more than 1,360 experts worldwide. Their findings provide a state-of-the-art scientific appraisal of the condition and trends in the world’s ecosystems and the services they provide, as well as the scientific basis for action to conserve and use them sustainably.

Nature Valuation and Financing Network
 

The aim of the Network (NV&F) is to stimulate the development and exchange of practical tools and best practice for the valuation of ecosystem goods and services, so that decisions concerning economic development are made with full awareness and understanding of all the costs and benefits involved.

The site offers features such as : a publication database which provides the opportunity to both download and upload relevant information, a case study database for identifying related case studies in the field, discussion platforms where members can communicate within an online forum and national platforms, specifically tailored to a certain country.

PUMPSEA
  The main goal of the project is to use mangroves as phytoremediators in order to create a new technology for wastewater treatment in East Africa. The project will assess how mangroves react to controlled dosages of sewage and will develop an Environmental Impact Assessment of a trial infrastructure. The project will also elaborate an implementation plan to help decision-makers using this technology within their governance frameworks.
